Located on the southernmost edge of Manhattan, this route begins in Battery Park (along the Hudson River Esplanade) where you’ll score glimpses of the Statue of Liberty before rounding the edge of Manhattan and heading up the East River running path. Once along the East River you can gawk your eyes on views of Brooklyn’s waterfront; the Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Bridges; and the South Street Seaport. Arguably the the most beautiful running route in New York City.
For those who enjoy long runs, the distance between Battery Park to George Washington Bridge encompuses close to 12.3 miles. The course is fairly flat with a few rises along the route.
