At Gateway, we’re so inspired by the creative ways NYC has risen to meet coronavirus challenges! For one, our favorite city restaurants have been working extra hard to make sure guests stay safe, warm AND well-fed when grabbing a meal outside. With new outdoor set-ups popping up left and right, we’ve compiled this list of some of the best spots for heated outdoor dining right here in Lower Manhattan.

Thai Farm Kitchen 

Stop by Thai Farm Kitchen in the Seaport for delicious farm-to-table organic Thai food. Find traditional Thai dishes here with the very best in fresh ingredients. Thai Farm Kitchen’s Seaport location features a heated outdoor patio, which is available for reservation daily from noon to 9:30pm.

Liberty Bistro

Nearby gem Liberty Bistro has been outfitted with brand-new heaters for a cozy and comfortable outdoor dining experience. Nosh on French favorites and craft cocktails while staying warm in their covered outdoor patio. Find their latest hours and make reservations here.

Clinton Hall

Popular FiDi favorite Clinton Hall has long been an ideal place for gathering post-work in Downtown Manhattan. While after-work culture has cetainly changed this year, the outdoor space at Clinton Hall remains a great spot for safe outdoor dining. Explore their extensive craft beer menu while there and don’t forget to grab their famous donut grilled cheese too! Open until 10pm daily.


Kesté Fulton

At the Lower Manhattan outpost of Kesté restaurant, you’ll find the best in authentic Neapolitan pizza prepared by Italian chef Roberto Caporuscio. With plenty of outdoor seating, it’s a great spot to share a few of their tasty pies. Kesté uses unprocessed ingredients and offers gluten-free menu options as well. They are open daily for lunch and dinner.


El Vez 

For yummy Mexican food with great outdoor seating options, hop on over to El Vez. Their heated outdoor chalets are ideal for when your quarantine pod needs to get its chips, guac, and marg fix. El Vez is open daily for outdoor dining, pickup, and delivery.

The Fulton at Pier 17

For elevated dining along the Hudson, The Fulton at Pier 17 is the place to be! World-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten brings his expertise to a menu of delicious seafood. Their expansive heated patio provides a comfortable setting for experiencing fine dining at its best. Check the website for their latest hours and to make a reservation.
