Fun NYC Halloween activities near Gateway

Parade in The Village

The Village Halloween Parade is just over a mile from Gateway, so march in the processions or watch the festivities from the sidelines (6th avenue from Canal St. to 15th). This year’s theme is “Freedom,” with glittery, sparkly costumes encouraged to make this dancing-friendly event shine in the night. This is a perfect activity for families, but there will also be an adult after-party at Webster Hall. Show Greenwich Village your spooky side at this 49th annual event.

Haunted House Soiree

House of Spirits is throwing its yearly Haunted Cocktail Soirees Thursdays thru Sundays until the end of the month. These haunted house-like events feature a scary storyline that participants follow through the premises, filled with tricks, treats, and spooky surprises. 

Fright Walk

Don your creepy costume for Chelsea’s Hallowscream Fright Walk. This interactive haunted house at the Chelsea Recreation Center will be a scary and fun crowd-pleaser on October 21st & 22nd.

For family fun at home, consider decorating a pumpkin.
